LOST AGAIN in NOSTALGIA
N O S T A L G I A
L O S T A G A I N
Nostalgia is an anagram for lost again
Nostalgia, or "Lost Again",
Is this really necessary
When it only opens up wounds that wont mend.
Memories so strong,
We daydream dreamily that time seems to bend.
Reminiscing, who does it really offend?
The factual past, or that unfading glory that has come to pass?
Was it really all that wondrous,
Or was it merely a mundane recollection
We know all too often could not last
Nostalgia is Lost Again
Anagrammatically both meanings lead to a dead end
No Hope, or is it all Hope?
Just a Dream not meant to come to fruition,
We are all at the end of the rope
All Emotion and no Logic
No longer as Stoic or Freely Frolicked
Now just a memory
Undying, Fleeting yet Forever,
Abstract and Transcending like a Salvador Dali
Or Camelot's Calvary,
Forever lost in the tongues of men as they re-tell the story
Over and over again
The story of Nostalgia,
and how it only helps us, get Lost Again.
