ACT A FOOL


A fool, is someone utterly in love with freedom - a freedom that at the moment cannot be defined to a singular meaning, word or action. The liberty to be able to do anything that they want with no regard to consequences. Because fools ignore implications of whatever undertaking they do, this is what eventually and essentially makes them a fool. In many ways this is a complete intoxication with being able to explore and immerse yourself in what your heart desires. If it has gone out of hand, eventually this will lead to an abuse of the mindset that you are "free". Free of consequences, free of societies parameters for communication and discipline. Hence the word "FOOL".

The word fool has even spawned a few words in the dictionary. Foolish, for example is an adjective that defines one's actions. However , if one was to explore the usage and meaning behind the word "FOOLISH" - it is only used to soften the blow of being labeled a fool. It numbs one from the damage of words and the deeper meanings behind it. e.g.:

"Your actions are foolish."

"You are a fool."

Essentially both statements are true - and yet the severity for each completely differ.
"Fool" encompasses all that you are, while "Foolish", was used to "trim the fat" per se' and only label your actions as such.

This intoxication with liberty and freedom from society is a step further to an eventual indifference (ignorance even) to resistance. Either it be resistance to uniformity, or seeing your self as a person keen with your individuality, or was brought up to not pay attention to resistance and rules. All of the actions that we do that may befall under what I have defined, whether it be conscious or unbeknownst to us is what can label us a fool.

In conclusion - a fool is society's definition for one who does not conform to the norm. In addition, fools are also labeled as such because of their lack of (to a degree) fear or respect to rules and punishments that society has placed on them.*


*I find that society now-a-days is absolute in nature. How this applies to this piece as well a what I mean by it, is that even the slightest deviation from what is considered normal is frowned upon.

[Tangent Thoughts]
Society is but a group of people who does the same thing, enclosed in a box of rules, and fears.
Because of this anybody that is not like them is treated horribly, for they take the individuals actions as a personal attack.
A personal attack to their way of life, an assault to their very being.
An attack to what history has dictated as the norm so far.
I find this argument about history lacking because is history not written by the victors?
Yes it is only normal to follow in the footsteps of the ones who prevailed yet we forget that the history they have established thus far is a way to control the masses - herd the sheep - and ironically fool his subjects so that he may remain in power.
These are but some of the anecdotes that a "conformer" may label a fool:

Fools are the frowned upon.
Fools are the abnormal
Fools lack respect and discipline
Fools are uneducated and unruly
Fools do not belong in this world.

Yet for someone who understands what being a fool means and its implications, such as I, these are the words contained in their statements regarding "Fools":

Fools are individuals completely in love with freedom
Fools are the anti-heroes
Fools live the life that only dreamers dream of
Fools dislike control for they know that it only curbs creativity
For a fool, if they must act - they must do it their way, creative and free.

I have put such a romantic spin to this argument, and yes I have completely defended what it means to be a fool, I understand that - But it was never my intention to explore both aspects.
Why you ask?
It is because the other aspect of being a fool, the negative aspect of it, is something that we are all too familiar with already - hence i need not revisit such idealism in this piece.
