FALSE HOPES & REAL FLYING MONKEYS

This soliloquy was suppose to start with "Right now I am on a journey..."
But now that I think about it, i hate the word journey.
Its almost as if it implies that to get somewhere one must move.
Move with feet, these lumbering feet who seem to bear the weight of the world.
But never-the-less, a journey it is, to find closure - this motherfucking notion that smothers the end of everything significant and heart breaking that has happened in our lives.

"I dont want it to end without closure"
"at least give that to me"
"to say our final good byes"

bullshit all of them. Jesus if only we can hear our own pleas for closure,
undoubtedly, we would sound like a cicada singing away at a looped tune all night.
So I say to myself, fucking get over it.
Its time to recognize that closure is not achieved by 2 people.
But by one.
By me
by you.
That the journey for closure need not require movement in order to move-on.
So here's my proverbial 2 cents to closure

hear hear

and may we all fucking get over what it is that assails our hearts.

What is closure but the road less traveled?
Or is it the path we would rather avoid?

Understand that it is a winding way
in contrast to the yellow brick road of Dorothy's world
There is no Wizard to give false hopes
nor friends to give courage, intellect and heart

The flying monkeys are real
and the wicked witch are but memories of yester-moments
that will not simply melt and wash away with water

Hello Closure...
give me a second or two as I try to regain my composure.
It is because I have yet to achieve you, that makes me grow stronger each and every day.

Closure comes at the risk of revisiting a past pain
For it has come at a point where one must tie up loose strings
And cut up ends that hold no more shine
For in some instances, to trail blaze a whole new destination takes the imperative
In hopes of finding one's own way

Closure is a friend amidst its own dilemma
Whom is a kindred being unable to move past the challenges that life present
and yet bears a wonderful soul, hiding behind sheets of last night.

It is invocation of that which is gone
To seek and find what eludes and escapes
Whom all too often, is something that's searched for in other peoples faces
In case they hold the answer to get through this phase of apathy and self loathing

See, closure is really but a rhetorical question
a question if one can move past, from the past that has left us behind?
Yes we can.
...to realize that we are now by ourselves, but never ever alone.

The sun will be the one to light the path,
the stars will be that unreachable dream,
And the moon will be the witness to everything
For it is at night when the world return backs to normal,
hiding everything that has changed under the sun...
